Cinque Ports Rye monastery pottery cylinder vase. Weight 668g. Larger 22cm height, 9.5cm round. Slight chip on the foot. 

Cinque Ports Pottery was established in 1956 by former Rye Pottery employee, David Sharp, together with his friend George Cray.  They continued until 1964 when they parted company and George moved to The Monastery with his production being marked as such on the back-stamp.  He was very successful but handed the company over to Jim Elliot (from Iden Pottery) in the 1980's who again changed the back-stamp slightly.
